They do this by developing partnerships with countries from the South, organizing volunteer cooperative placements and internships, and by educating the public on development issues.

CUSO-VSO volunteer cooperants provide strategic, technical and professional support to CUSO-VSO’s development partners in Asia, the Pacific, Africa, the Americas and the Caribbean. Each year, they send hundreds of global citizens to work on collaborative development projects in more than 40 countries around the world.

Engineers Without Borders strives to drive change in Canada and in developing communities by raising awareness among Canadians about the impact of their daily actions on developing communities, and promoting human development in some of the world's most impoverished communities.
