Brief Description:

Support our team in Colombia in promote the work of our volunteers and partners!

You'll support the development and implementation of a short-term and medium-term communications strategy for Cuso International’s Country Program Office (CPO) in Colombia, as well as the development of high-quality, enticing and powerful communications materials. You'll get a chance to know and collaborate with other volunteers throughout the country and learn about all of our projects.

Cuso International aims to grow our constituency base and engage diverse audiences in Canada as well as throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. We aim to educate about our areas of concern and key development challenges, elevate the voices of the communities we serve, as well as invite audiences to act or give. We aim to effectively capture the impact and value of both international volunteering and working in inclusive partnerships to eradicate poverty.

As a volunteer, you will:

- Update the short-term and medium-term communications strategies for Colombia.

- Implement the Colombian communications strategy, including the delivery of communications and media training for the Program Office staff and volunteers in country.

- Elaborate (e.g. by gathering information/photographs and drafting content) of two publications about Cuso International’s work in Latin America and the Caribbean which will include case studies, program insights and lessons learned, as well as recommendations for future policy and practice.
