BRIEF DESCRIPTION:This is an exciting opportunity for an ESL Teacher to contribute to a new regional nutrition project led by CARE Canada. The Southern Africa Nutrition Initiative (SANI) will improve the nutrition of women of reproductive age and reduce stunting of growth for children under five years old in Mozambique, Zambia and Malawi. The ESL Teacher will contribute to the implementation of the SANI project in Mozambique.
The objective of this placement will primarily be to increase the capacity of the SANI project staff to improve their English skills, and to enable them to more effectively participate in multi-country meetings.
As a volunteer, you will:
Provide formal and informal training opportunities to CARE staff, partners and possibly other SANI stakeholders (community members, government staff) to improve their English language skills
Mentor the SANI project manager and provide on-the-job training and editorial support to enable the development of increasingly effective report-writing skills in the medium of English
