Brief Description:

Innovate ME provides career coaching and training to young people through dynamic overseas internship placements. Innovate ME is funded through the International Youth Internship Program (IYIP) by Global Affairs Canada as part of the Youth Employment Strategy. The IYIP supports sustainable international development initiatives through partnerships between local partner organizations and Canadian NGOs. IYIP is designed to offer Canadian post-secondary graduates the opportunity to gain professional experience through international development work.

Innovate ME is a unique internship program designed to maximize the employability benefits. From February 2018 to March 2021, Innovate ME will send 92 interns to Djibouti, Gabon, Ghana, Jordan, Senegal, and Thailand for 6-month career-building placements. The internships will advance girl’s education and literacy, youth livelihoods and wildlife conservation through partnerships with Worldreader, World Wildlife Fund Gabon and Education Development Center.
