International Development & Global Education Community Networking Round Table and special presentation on Tax Fairness & Gender Equity Pilot Project in Ghana &the Implications for Canadians

This meeting follows a round table event hosted by MP Monsef earlier this spring, at which time there was expressed interest from participants for KWIC to create opportunities for ongoing networking and convening.

Who is Invited: Individuals/Organizations who are working, volunteering or interested in international development and/or local global education initiatives. You are receiving this invitation because you indicated you would to participate in networking and capacity-building opportunities; you participated in KWIC’s 2018 Global Citizenship Research Project; you are known to KWIC for your work connected to the themes of the meeting.

Time: 12 pm –1:30 pm
Venue: Hobbs Library, Sadleir House – 751 George Street North
Cost: Free. Donations welcome to support convening expenses.
Refreshments will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own lunch.

12:30 pm-1:00 pm: Presentation on Gender Equity & Tax Fairness with Dennis Howlett. Dennis is the former executive director of Canadians for Tax Fairness and currently sits on the boards of KWIC, and Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives and the Global Alliance for Tax Justice.
1:00 pm -1:30 pm: Discussion & Next-steps/meeting
