Contest: What makes you hopeful that Canadian youth can make a difference in the world?

Event Details

From February 7th to 13th 2021, Civil Society Organizations, communities and individuals across Canada are celebrating the 31st International Development Week (IDW) with Global Affairs Canada to highlight Canada’s contributions to sustainable development around the globe.

To celebrate the 2021 International Development Week, the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada wants to hear what young Canadians have to say about their future and the role they can play. What makes you hopeful?

How to participate:
Answer the question ‘’What makes you hopeful that Canadian youth can make a difference in the world?’’ through a written (up to 250 words) or a video (up to 2 minutes) submission. You can include a photo, drawing, song, painting, or any other artistic support with your entry: extra points for creativity!
Entries can be in English or French | Participants must be under 30 years old | Open to Canadian applicants only

The prize:
Win a ticket, valued at $30, to JGI Canada’s first-ever virtual event featuring the Canadian screening of the National Geographic’s documentary ‘’Jane Goodall: The Hope’’ on February 6th, 2021.
The virtual screening will be followed by a live Q&A with Dr. Jane herself. There are two prizes (1 ticket each) available to win! Plus, each ticket gives your household access to the event so the whole family can enjoy!

Submit your application to marie@janegoodall.ca, with ‘’What makes me hopeful about the future’’ in the subject line before January 31st, 2021. The winners will be announced during the first week of February.
