Panel Discussion: Mobilizing women’s collective action for change

Join us for an engaging panel discussion! IDRC’s Solutions for Gender Equity speaker series launches with a panel that will share examples of women’s collective actions that positively influence gender relations and adverse gender norms and practices. The speakers at “Mobilizing women’s collective action for change” will present approaches their organizations have used to successfully increase the voice and visibility of women who are marginalized, disadvantaged, or sidelined from society.

Our expert panel of researchers and activists consists of:
• Niveditha Menon, Centre for Budget and Policy Studies, India
• Sofia Trevino, Women in Informal Employment: Globalizing and Organizing
• Lina Rosa Palomo, Centro de Investigaciones y Estudios Superiores en Antropología Social, Mexico

The Women Deliver 2019 Conference in June 2019 — the world’s largest conference on gender equality — will bring together more than 6,000 world leaders, influencers, advocates, academics, activists, and journalists from more than 150 countries.
