The next 150: A national conversation on Canada and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Event Details

This event follows our first national conversation which was held in Ottawa back in June. It brought national, provincial and regional civil society networks together to connect and collaborate around the SDGs. Government representatives were also in attendance to share what Canada is doing to implement Agenda 2030. You can learn more about that first conversation here.

From our perspective, the UN Sustainable Development Goals represent a unifying framework across sectors and a tremendous opportunity for a shared domestic and international agenda. It also presents a clear path forward as we reach the end of Canada’s sesquicentennial year and look ahead to what’s next for our country.

The focus around Canada’s 150th on youth, inclusion and diversity, reconciliation and environment can be applied to any one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. And each is vital to ensure the country’s next 150 years are inclusive and sustainable.
